Recording of Meetings

Under the Openness of Local Government Bodies Regulations 2014, members of the public may now film, photograph and make audio recordings of the proceedings of the formal Council meeting, though not, under current legislation, of the Public Participation session, as this is not part of the formal agenda of the meeting. Recording activity should be respectful to the conduct of the meeting and behaviour that disrupts the meeting (such as oral commentary) will not be permitted.

Members are asked to receive declarations of interest under consideration on this agenda in accordance with Part III of the Local Government Act 2000 and The Relevant Authorities (Disclosable Pecuniary Interests) Regulations 2012.

Members are reminded that should you declare a prejudicial interest at a meeting, it is your responsibility to inform the Monitoring Officer.

 

 

 

  1. Public Question Time and Participation

Members of the public are advised that they are welcome to ask questions about items on the agenda. It is not always possible to give a verbal response at the meeting and questions may receive a written reply. No resolution can be made under this item.

Questions should relate to matters of Parish Council policy or practice and not relate to the individual affairs of either the questioner or any other named person.

The Chairman will give any announcements in relation to parish matters or the     agenda.

 

  1. Co-option of a Parish Councillor

Members are asked to give any update on the co-option of a Parish Councillor and whether they have approached anyone. There will be the opportunity to co-opt at the meeting if a new Member has been found.

Members are asked to confirm the minutes of the:

The Chairman and Cllr. S. Williams will give an update on the website.

 

Members will be asked to:

 

  • Consider the proposed content of the website and comment
  • View and select the photos/images provided by the residents for inclusion on the website
  • Provide a short-written profile and profile picture to Cllr. S. Williams by the end of 11th December 2022

  • National Award for the Parish Clerk

 

Members will be advised of the national award recently been given to the Parish Clerk.

Members are asked to note that a national pay rise back dated to 1st April 2022 has been awarded to Clerks and Members will be advised at the meeting

The Parish Clerk will update the Members on the Sage payment situation.

 

  • 2023/2024 Budget

 

At the January meeting of the Parish Council Members will be asked to consider the budget and in turn the precept for 2023/2024. This is the opportunity for pre-budget discussions.

      agenda

 

Members are invited to raise any matter under this item but noting that no decisions can be made although instructions can be given to the Clerk.

 

It is also the opportunity to ask for items for a future agenda but noting that if the items require research, then unless a simple answer can be obtained by the Parish Clerk by an e mail or telephone call then the Councillor will be asked to do the research and report it to the Parish Clerk for the future agenda item.

 

  • SALC AGM – the Parish Clerk attended and will give a short verbal report at the meeting
