Recording of Meetings

Under the Openness of Local Government Bodies Regulations 2014, members of the public may now film, photograph and make audio recordings of the proceedings of the formal Council meeting, though not, under current legislation, of the Public Participation session, as this is not part of the formal agenda of the meeting. Recording activity should be respectful to the conduct of the meeting and behaviour that disrupts the meeting (such as oral commentary) will not be permitted.

  1. Fire safety Announcement

 

Councillor Chris Wood, Shropshire Councillor will address the meeting.

 

Smartwater. Jess Hindley from West Mercia Police will attend the meeting to update Members on the opportunities for distributing the remaining sets within the parish.

 

  1. Apologies for absence

Members are asked to receive apologies of absence for this meeting.

 

 

 

 

  1. Declarations of Interest.

To receive declarations of interest under consideration on this agenda in accordance with the Localism Act 2011 s32 and The Relevant Authorities (Disclosable Pecuniary Interests) Regulations 2012.

Members are reminded that should you declare a pecuniary interest at a meeting, it is your responsibility to inform the Monitoring Officer.

 

  1. Public Question Time and Participation

Members of the public are advised that they are welcome to ask questions about items on the Agenda. It is not always possible to give a verbal response at the meeting and questions may receive a written reply. No resolution can be made under this item.

Questions should relate to matters of Parish Council policy or practice and not relate to the individual affairs of either the questioner or any other named person.

The Clerk will report back on the following matters:

 

  • Concern about Renew where Graham Manton, Apley Estates had been

involved a couple of enforcement actions in relation to Grindlehouse Farm

who were still not keeping to their planning consent and conditions.

  • Installation of the CCTV signage for the Rural Crime Initiative and whether

they were available.

  • Haven Hills Menage lights
  • Signage outside Apley Farm on the road verge and Sutton Maddock Roundabout
  • Brockton Crossroads

 

 

  1. Place Plan Review

 

The Chairman will be attending the Place Plan Review meeting on 27th March

 

Sutton Maddock Parish Council don’t appear to have any Parish Plan in place but there is a section within the Bridgnorth Place Plan 2015-16 which is being reviewed.

 

Councillors are asked to familiarise themselves with this current Place Plan, which can be accessed via Shropshire Council website, in particular the two pages which have direct reference to Sutton Maddock (pages 30 & 67)

 

Members are therefore asked to read the parts relevant to Sutton Maddock Parish Council area and the wider matters that could affect the parish and bring comments to the meeting for the Chairman to input at the meeting on the 27th March.

Members are asked to note that the next meeting of Sutton Maddock Parish Council is scheduled to be held on Thursday 9th May 2019.

 

Members are asked to consider moving the July meeting from Thursday 11th July to Thursday 18th July to enable the Clerk to attend the meeting.
